No runaround and no mystery treatments. You will know what we found and what we are doing about it.
Tell us what you are seeing, where and for how long. A quick call or text usually tells us a lot about what we are dealing with.
Your technician looks for the source, not just the bugs you can see, then walks you through what is going on and how we will treat it.
We treat the problem, show you what to watch for and come back if it needs another round. If something comes back, just call or text us.
From everyday household bugs to seasonal invaders and wildlife, here is what we take care of across Fort Wayne and northeast Indiana.
From a few spiders in the basement to a raccoon in the attic, one local company handles it. Here is what we take care of most often.
Spiders, ants, crickets, earwigs and the rest of the everyday bugs, treated inside and out so they stay out.
Raccoons, opossums, skunks, squirrels and other animals trapped, removed and kept from getting back in.
Yard treatments that knock mosquitoes back so you can actually use your deck and backyard in the summer.
German and American cockroach treatments for homes, apartments and rentals, with follow-up visits until they are gone.
Scheduled pest control for restaurants, offices, warehouses, apartment buildings and other businesses.
Mice and rats removed, plus sealing the gaps and vents they use to get into your house or garage.
Wasp, hornet, yellow jacket and bee nests taken care of, from porch lights and eaves to attics and siding.
Carpenter ants, pavement ants and sugar ants traced back to the nest and treated at the source.
Thorough bed bug inspections and treatments for bedrooms, furniture and multi-unit buildings.
A flea infestation can escalate quickly — a single female flea can lay up to 50 eggs per day. Fleas don’t just bite pets; they bite people too, and can transmit diseases.
Most people have had the same experience with pest control: a technician rushes in, sprays for a few minutes and is gone before anyone explains what was found. When the bugs come back, getting someone on the phone is a project of its own.
DeadOne Pest Control was built to do it differently. We are a local, family-owned Fort Wayne company, not a national franchise. Every visit starts with a real inspection to find where pests are getting in, then targeted treatments that deal with the source and help keep them from coming back. The only good pest is a DeadOne.

Fantastic! We had a large colony of sweat bees behind our siding. Garrett was very patient with my questions, and very professional. He took the extra time to make sure he did everything he could to take care of the problem.
Brandon was awesome! Removed an exceptionally large hornets nest. They were very stubborn. He was persistent and completely got rid of them.
We’ve used Dead One Pest Control for both our home and business, and the results have been excellent. Professional, reliable, and effective—highly recommend.
Within hours of calling DeadOne they came out to spray for wasps. Steven was very thorough and even fixed the rope that broke on the attic door. Thank you! I told him he was a man of steel going so close to the nests and not hesitating …
Absolutely exceptional customer service! They are thorough and professional. Would most certainly recommend DeadOne's crew to anyone looking to get rid of those pesky seasonal ants/clover mites/spiders and anything that doesn't belong in or …
The stuff people actually ask us on the phone, answered the way we would answer it.
If you’re spotting droppings, chew marks, weird smells, or little critters where they don’t belong, that’s your sign. One lone spider is probably just a roommate. A whole family reunion in your pantry is a problem.
You can, and for small, simple issues it sometimes works. But many DIY products only knock out the bugs you can see while the nest keeps growing out of sight. If the problem keeps coming back, it’s time to call in a pro.
Think of it like this. Over-the-counter stuff from the pharmacy aisle works great for a mild cold. But when it’s serious, you need the prescription from the doctor’s office to get the good stuff from the pharmacist. Same deal with pests: DIY products can work, but sometimes you need a pro like DeadOne to finish the job.
Most homes do well with quarterly (4x per year) or every-other-month treatments (6x per year), which keep pests from getting comfy. Some situations, like ants and cockroaches, need more. We’ll look at your home and give you a straight answer.
Safety comes first. We use products and methods designed to be used around families and pets, and we’ll tell you exactly what we’re doing and how long to keep little paws and fingers away from treated areas. Ask us anything. We’ll answer it.
Usually not. For most treatments, you can stay put. If a particular job calls for you to step out, we’ll let you know ahead of time so you can plan a lunch date or a nice walk.
It depends on the pest. Some bugs vanish within a few days, while others, like ants, cockroaches, and bed bugs, take a few visits to fully clear out. And a few extra critters right after treatment? Totally normal. That’s often the product doing its job.
Plot twist: that’s often a good sign. Treatments stir pests out of hiding, and as they run around in a panic, they come into contact with the product. Give it a little time and you’ll start seeing fewer live ones and more dead ones.
Mice can squeeze through a gap about the size of your pinky finger or a dime. Rats can squeeze through a hole the size of your thumb or a nickel. Seriously! They’ll use tiny cracks, gaps around pipes, and spaces under doors. Sealing up entry points is just as important as dealing with the mice already inside.
Most of our treatments leave a residual behind. That means once the product dries and you can’t see it anymore, it keeps working long after we’ve gone to keep pests away. You can help it along with a few easy habits:
Think of it as making your home as unappealing as possible to uninvited guests.
Nope! Even spotless homes get pests. They’re after food, water, and shelter, and they’re not judging your housekeeping. A clean home just gives them fewer reasons to stay.
Not at all. Bed bugs are hitchhikers that catch rides on luggage, clothes, and secondhand furniture. Hotels, apartments, and mansions all get them. If you wake up with unexplained bites or spot tiny dark spots on your sheets, call or text us at 260-245-3323 (DEAD).
Some can help a bit, but they’re rarely a complete fix. Peppermint oil might make your house smell lovely, but it won’t evict a full-blown infestation. Most DIY options are repellents, which just push pests into hiding. While they’re hiding, they’re breeding, and you end up with more bugs than you started with. Not a good plan.
We stand behind our work. If pests return between scheduled visits, call or text us and we’ll come back out, generally within 24 to 48 hours.
Yes, on all three counts. We’re licensed, insured, and BBB accredited with an A+ rating. The only thing we’re not covered for is a cockroach with a good lawyer.
Our technicians are certified to apply pest control products in Indiana through the Office of the Indiana State Chemist. We carry general liability insurance, so your home and property are protected while we send the pests packing. We’ve been BBB accredited since 2022 and have earned an A+ rating, which you can verify on our BBB profile.
Want proof before we show up? Call or text us and we’ll send a copy of our license and certificate of insurance. After all, the only good pest is a DeadOne, and the only good pest control company is one you can check up on.
We think so, and so do our moms! But we’d rather let our customers and our track record do the bragging. We’re a local, family-owned Fort Wayne company, and we’ve earned great reviews on Google, Facebook, Thumbtack, and Angi, plus an A+ rating with the BBB.
Sure, our moms think we’re the best, but they’re a little biased. We’ll let our customers be the judge!
It depends on your home’s size, the type of pest, and how big the problem is. We’ll give you a clear quote upfront so you know what to expect before we start. No surprises, except the dead bugs.
Easy. Call or text us at 260-245-3323 (DEAD), or fill out the form on our website, and we’ll find a time that works for you.
